Der kauzige, überambitionierte Pianist Andi (33) und der eher in den Tag lebende Benno (36) haben nur eine einzige Sache gemeinsam: Sie werden bald sterben. Also beschließen sie nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten im Hospiz, den geilsten Tag ihres Lebens zu erleben. Sie ergaunern sich Geld – denn die begrenzte Zeit schließt den Knast auf jeden Fall aus – und reisen nach Afrika. Ein Albtraum für den hypochondrischen Andi, aber auch für Benno eine große Herausforderung, da er sich dort zum ersten Mal seiner Vergangenheit stellen muss. Diese Reise birgt nicht nur Gefahren, sondern führt die beiden in etlichen lustigen, tragischen, dramatischen und auch gefährlichen Momenten an ihr eigentliches Ziel: Den geilsten Tag und der Erkenntnis, dass man sein Leben selbst in die Hand nehmen muss, um es nicht zu verpassen.
